The Imperiia Project

Gorodetz

Baedeker says that this is not just a village, but "a straggling village."

Baedeker also says that these men and women take pride in knowing that the famous Alexander Nevsky died here on November 14, 1263.

And that they occupy themselves producing wooden ware and honey-cakes (pryanniki).

Baedeker does not say whether they were making honey-cakes while the prince/saint was among them, but I like to think that they were.
