I have been observing my fellow passengers. In first class there are merchants and other men of business, managers, and the occasional itinerant artist. Second class is full of priests, low-ranking officers, low-ranking clerks, and students. The nobles steer clear of the Samolyot steamers: they consider them dangerous and uninteresting.

Their absence does not bother me.
