Wreck of the St. Nikolaj

Excerpt from the annual report of the Feodosiia city overseer

On February 18, the double-masted ship St. Nikolaj (St. Nicholas) was torn off its moorings and anchor in a storm and thrown onto the shoals. The St. Nikolaj was captained by its owner, a Greek named Zafiraki, who had taken the Russian oath of subjecthood.
