Resources for Loss

“Miss Me, But Let Me Go” (poet unknown), contributed by Eliot Cowan (2022)

This poem reminds the reader that death and loss are a normal and essential part of nature. Sharing that life and death are all part of “The master’s plan” may provide some relief to those who feel a lack of closure around their loved one's death. It also gives actionable advice: “When you are lonely and sick of heart / Go to the friends we know.” This excellent counsel is applicable across multiple kinds of loss and I believe would be helpful to many people.
