Resources for Loss

“Epitaph” by Merit Malloy, contributed by Charlie McNamara (2022)

When I first read this poem, it aligned with the search for meaning in loss. I think that the line, "When all that's left of me / Is love, / Give me away", is a beautiful interpretation of grief. It can sometimes feel like all that is left is sadness when someone dies, but that grief is just love for the lost one. So, when you can't express your love to them anymore, and all that is left of them is their love, you can keep them alive by sharing that love with others.
