Seasons in the Sun by Terry Jacks, contributed by CJ Passarella (2019)

This song immediately comes to my mind when I think of loss because it’s the song that my mom would play when I was growing up when she wanted to remember her best friend, who died unexpectedly of a stroke as a result of an undiagnosed medical condition in her 30s. The song discusses many of the speaker’s pleasant memories with his now-deceased friend, and I think could provide a nice space for someone to reflect on the happier moments shared with some of their own loved ones.
