I feel this song portrays an important subject of bereavement. The video accompanying the song depicts a young boy who learns of his father's passing, who died while serving in the military. I think this form of bereavement is quite different from loss due to disease or accident and is more in line with what we covered in the first lecture on Hector and Andromache--there is a painful emotional separation between loved ones when they acknowledge that they may never see each other again.
