His primary research interests revolve around the varying European integration processes of post-Soviet countries and the Russian reaction to them. Davit earned his B.A. in political science (with a minor in French) from U.C. Berkeley, where he focused his research on democratization and human rights in the post-Soviet space, especially the Caucasus. Davit was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and his early experiences there have shaped his interest in the affairs of the region. Davit has held a number of positions that allowed him to engage in the advancement of human rights in Armenia, and he hopes to deepen his work there in the future.
