Resources for Loss

Commemorative stone with poem, contributed by Mindie Mabry (2021)

The picture that I chose to present is something that was given to my family following the passing of my dad. It reads “If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. Always Remembered XX”. I think that this really touches on what we have discussed throughout this course about grief and also the importance of memories. It acknowledges the painful tears while also expressing the wish for our loved one to be home with us. No matter where we move, he will always be with us.
