The Imperiia Project: a spatial history of the Russian Empire

Teach

One of Imperiia's core goals is to produce resources that enable teachers to teach, and students to learn, about the spatial history of the Russian Empire.

This fall (2020), we will be developing this part of the site. We will be presenting syllabi, assignments, videos, data sets, and... maps. We will be explaining both how we produced them, and how we think you might want to use them.

So please: sit tight. We promise to reward your patience.

We will keep you posted on Twitter (@ImperiiaProject) when new material arrives, and we always welcome your questions, requests, and feedback.

For now, feel free to peruse the syllabus for "The Imperial Map: Geographic Information in the Age of Empire" (Fall 2020, Harvard University). Even better, dig into our Skill Builders: each is a ready-made interactive map lesson for your learning/teaching pleasure.
